Hi I'm Erik

I live in Montana with my family and are greatful for the blessings of the gospel in our life.

About Me

I live in a place where I can hunt and fish from less that 1 hour travel. Me and my family enjoy the hiking, mountain biking, and horse back riding in the wilderness of Montana. Fall is my favorite time of the year with all the beautiful colors and being in the outdoors hunting for elk when they are the most active before winter. I work in construction as a master plumber and heating tech. The company I work for does a lot with geothermal, and alternative energy sources. It has been a great trade for me and I enjoy the fact that my office changes daily and the drive to work is sometimes 1 hour away in the most beautiful setting.

Why I am a Mormon

My real interest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began when I was 18 yrs old. A roommate in college began to invite me to activities that were held at the singles ward. I grew up with many mormons in Utah, but never really was interested in the church. When I was in college I realized that my life was not on a good path and needed some help and guidence. When I started asking questions about the church my roommate was able to help me with many of them, and suggested that we meet with the missionaries. After about 1 month of discussion and prayer I was out in the river bottoms and found a peaceful place to offer up my thoughts and feelings about everything to the Lord. I recieved the warmth of the holy ghost around me and new that joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was what I needed in my life to gain true happiness. After I made my decision to do this I met a young lady who was unbelievably happy and full of adventure for life. She was able to be with me when I told my parents and offered a prayer for me when I felt that satan was trying to keep me from going forth with my baptism. After her prayer the anxioty and frustration left and was replaced with love and peace. This young lady is my best friend and wife of 15 years now. We were sealed for time and all eternity 1 year and 2 months after my baptism. It has been the best decision of my life. When I am true and faithful to myself and the Lord true happiness, and clarity enters into my life and I am able to go through the darkest things in this life and still see the light of the savior ahead of me. He is the life that I want to have as my examle to follow. I know that my redeamer lives not only for me, but all that live and that have lived. He is the way back to our loving fathers arms and will ALWAYS be there for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being as Christlike as I can. With my family living in this world and being flooded with the things of the world I make my home a safe place for them away from the world and allowing the spirit to enter more abundantly.
