Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a small town in Arizona. I married my high school sweetheart. And I'm a mother of five boys.

About Me

My name is Kim. I'm a wife, mother sister and friend. I've been married for 20 years to my high school sweetheart. I'm a mother of 5 boys ranging from 9yrs.- 19yrs. We have a very loud and crazy home. I enjoy reading when I get the chance and I enjoy going to my son's sporting events. I like to be organized and enjoy good homemade food. We do most things in bulk around here. I'm the oldest of eight children and I love my big family. My siblings are some of my favorite people. I am happiest when I am serving others and when my children are serving right along side me.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel fortunate to have been raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But being raised in the church does not mean I automatically believed everything I was taught. I had to study, pray and read the scriptures to know for myself whether it is true. I know with everything that I am this is the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ! I know this because of the personal spiritual revelation the Lord has given to me. I know we have a loving Father in Heaven who loves and wants us to return to him someday. I know we were sent here on this earth to gain a body and to be tested and tried. I know Jesus Christ was sent to this earth to be our Savior and Redeemer and I know it is only through him that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven again. I know the Lord has provided us with all the tools and help we need to be happy in this life and to be successful. I know He is there waiting for us to come to him in prayer. He wants to communicate with us as does our earthly parents. I know the bible is the word of God. I know the Book of Mormon is true and am grateful to have it to be ably to learn from. I know we have a living prophet on this earth today that has been provided for us to guide us and teach us those things the Lord would have us know and do. I know that families can be together forever if we each do our part and live righteously. I'm so eternally grateful for all that I have been blessed with. Especially, for the knowledge that I am a daughter of God and He loves me. My greatest desire is to serve the Lord and to teach my kids the truths with I have come to know. This life is not meant to be east but we are meant to learn and to grow and to find happiness and peace. If you do not know of these truths for yourself yet I hope you will take the time and make the effort to find out for yourself as I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try daily to communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer. I first and foremost thank Him everyday for ALL He has blessed me with. Sometimes I feel unworthy to be so blessed. Our five boys are involved with scouts and with the youth groups. I love that they have good friends who help influence them for the good and they likewise lead by being a good example to others. I try to serve others whenever I can. I am currently the leader over the women at church. It is wonderful to get to help and serve and be a friend to them. It's also hard to see some of their trials and hardships and know they would not chose to go through the things that they are. But I do know they will be stronger and their testimonies will be strengthened if they will but endure and remain faithful. The best way to make yourself feel better in any circumstance is to help someone else. I love the feelings of sisterhood and brotherhood that prevails at church and in my neighborhood. I love my neighbors and I know we can all learn so much from each other.
