Hi I'm Heidi

I'm a mother of six young children and it's crazy, but I can't imagine life any other way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I went to college I wanted to be a family counselor. I haven't gotten my master's degree yet, but, boy am I getting a lot of hands on training. My husband and I have six children under the age of ten. Life is constantly moving in our home. I'm just trying to keep up and enjoy each moment. I love being a wife and mother and wouldn't have it any other way. I enjoy being around people. I love reading and learning of other cultures. My husband dreams of living in China someday. (He loves change and I love stability.) Together we hope to share all the amazing things in this world with our children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me great peace. I know who I am. I know I am a child of God and that I can live with Him and my family after this life. I am able to share this with my children and help them know who and what they can become. The scriptures bring me great comfort. I try each morning to study from the Bible and Book of Mormon. I know Heavenly Father gives answers to me through my daily study. I am so grateful to know their is a living prophet today who guides us through these hard times. It helps me know that my husband and I can lead our family through the troubling days ahead. I often worry about our children, but have felt great peace through my beliefs.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day. I study the scriptures that I might understand what Jesus would do and then I try to implement what I have learned. Luckily I have many instances to learn long suffering and kindness in my home. I have often felt God's love for our children and am so grateful for those glimpses. I also lead a Boy Scout group. At first I was a little hesitant, but now I love working with the young boys and spending more time with my oldest son and his peers. We get to discover so many new things. I love learning.
