Hi I'm Perry

I'm a Mormon and have been since childhood. I'm now a happily married father of 3 with 2 grandsons and another on the way.

About Me

I enjoy reading and dirt bike riding but don't get to do either of these often enough. Instead I'm spending time with my immediate and extended family, at work, or travelling with my wife as we fulfil our responsibilities in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and, throughout my youth, attended in part because I wanted to but mostly because my parents, who were quite elderly, wanted me to. In my late teens / early twenties, after my Dad had died, I realised I needed to discover WHY I was going to church. I accepted the challenge in the Book of Mormon and found out for myself that it was true. It was another testament of Jesus Christ and helped me realise that he loved me and had died for me. That simple truth is my main motivator but I've also seen the blessings that the gospel has brought into the lives of my wife (a convert), our 3 children and many of our friends.

How I live my faith

My wife and I both have responsibilities to care for the leaders and the youth across a large geographic region. We enjoy travelling together, seeing the members in the various church units and watching the youth develop into confident, grounded young adults with good values and an understanding of who they are and why they are here.
