Hi I'm Elaine

I'm a human resources professional, I'm a singer, and I'm a teacher who loves helping others grow. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is my main hobby. I love singing and playing the piano and now I'm learning to play the organ. I've directed choirs off and on, and currently sing in a chorale that performs classical music. My parents instilled in me the importance of a higher education. Consequently, I earned a Masters Degree in Busiess Administration. This education has served me well in life and in my human resources career. For nearly two decades I've been married to a wonderful man who shares my values and love of good music.

Why I am a Mormon

First and foremost, I believe that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to teach us the way, to atone for our sins and to die for us, so that we may be ressurrected, redeemed and live with him again. My heart is filled with joy and warmth as I think of the love that our Savior has for us. Another reason for my church membership is my love for sacred scripture, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and I truly feel the Spirit of God testifying to my mind and my heart that the messages in that book are messages from God to his people.

How I live my faith

Because of my faith, I know that all of us are children of God with divine nature. I feel that there is good in everyone, and rejoice in those who show love to one another and serve one another through friendship and charity. I feel strongly that God is no respector of persons and that I should likewise show respect and love to all people, individually and collectively. All deserve to be treated with dignity and to be viewed through the same eyes of love that the Lord has for each one of his children. By way of church service, I currently organize monthly educational activities for the adult women in my congregation. These workshops cover practical topics such as the basics of home maintenance or physical and mental heath. We've also shared customs from different cultures andsuggested ways to incorporate spirituality into your everyday life. Above all, we foster a bond of love and sisterhood as we learn together.
