Hi I'm Duane

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church when I was 16 years old.

About Me

I recently retired from real estate sales and development. My wife Pam and I have 7 children and 23 grandchildren. Our grandchildren having been a real blessing in our lives. We are so happy we had a large family. After finishing undergraduate school, we moved our family from New York City area, thru Utah for graduate work and eventually got a job in Denver. We now feel like native Coloradoans - having lived here since 1974. My hobbies are gardening, coin collecting, hiking, biking and racquetball.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 16 years old and I can truthfully say, with all honesty and conviction, that the Mormon faith has had a most positive effect on my life. I have developed a conscience that tells me how to conduct my daily life. The principals of the Mormon faith have acted as a roadmap in my making decisions. My family life is rich with family relationships where we all share similar values and family traditions. Some of my actions in the past could have been avoided had my family been members of the church and taught my brother and me the correct principals that I adhere to today.

How I live my faith

I am active in the church and have been recently called as the Emergency Preparedness Specialist whereby an emergency plan is in place in the event of a local/national disaster. The church encourages everyone to have food storage. My wife and I try to live a simple less complicated life. We both are Master Gardeners and beekeepers and enjoy life's simple pleasures.
