Hi I'm Carrie.

I love children and music. I teach a children's choir in my community and am the mother of six beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of six beautiful children. I have been married for 13 years to my best friend. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2004 (3 children later!) because President HInckley encouraged all of us to get an education. It was a great blessing to me to do so because I was able to return and finish what I had begun before marrying my husband. One of my great joys is music and I had the opportunity to improve my singing/directing skills as I finished my degree. Shortly after graduation I began my own buisness-a local children's choir. I have been teaching children (ages 5-14) how to sing for over 8 years now. That is something I never would have attempted had I not returned to school. Aside from music-I enjoy long walks for ice cream with my husband, spending time as a family outdoors, running, reading a good book, and making people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because following the teachings of Christ I have learned through the Mormon faith has brought myself and my family great happiness. There is nothing on this earth that can compare.

How I live my faith

As a member of the mormon church I have an opportunity to live my faith every day. My faith teaches me to value my family more than any other thing in my life. I do so by making sure I spend time with them (especially at the cross-roads: meal time, coming and going from school, bedtime...), that I share my faith with my children by teaching them about Christ, and by doing all I can to keep my marriage strong so that my children grow up with a feeling of security. I love how my faith gives me opportunities to serve that I'm not sure I would have found on my own. When serving I am happier and have often made some of my most treasured friendships through serving others. I've had the opportunity to try new things like scouting! As I got to understand the program and saw the difference it made in the boys lives-I became really excited. I never thought I would be someone who got excited about scouts! But when I saw how helpful it was to the young boys-it just made me happy. Others notice how happy my family and I are because of our faith-we find we are "living our faith" without even realizing the effect this has on those around us. Life is never perfect, we have our struggles like anyone else but we know where and to Whom to turn to when they do.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is the perfect enviornment to learn to become more like our Heavenly Father. We learn service, charity, humilty, sacrifice, patience and other valuable attributes. As we experience great love for our children we begin to understand just how much our own Father in Heaven (God) loves us. We believe that these relationships can be eternal-meaning that even after death takes a loved family member away-we can be with them again someday. Show more Show less
