Hi I'm CarlyMarie

I'm half portuguese, I was born to be in the sun, I love mashed potatoes, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The following may be a little hard to follow, my thoughts are never really organized, but I think people get used to it. Where to begin...I love doing almost anything! I love adventurous things that get my adrenaline going. I love playing indoor and outdoor volleyball, I love hiking, I love waterskiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, snowboarding, learning new things and random facts, I love shark week, photography, music, and I love the beach...see pretty much everything. My parents are wonderful and I am child #3 out of 4, and Im currently the favorite child, well thats the word around town. I went to school in Idaho and Hawaii and I was studying sociology and math. But I have put my school studies on hold for a short time and am currently living in a GREAT town called Enumclaw and Im serving a mission for the Lord for 18 months, in the Seattle mission. I love meeting new people and talking and also laughing, even if it's at myself. #1 rule- Laugh at least ONCE really hard, everyday!

Why I am a Mormon

My father joined the church in his early 20s and shortly after, he married my mother, so I was raised in the Church and when I reached the age of 8, I chose to be baptized. After that I continued to go to church and to live the way I was taught by my loving parents, by teachers, and by the things I learned at church. A time came in my life when I wasn't being my full potential and I realized it was because I didn't have my own solid testimony, I had been leaning on the testimonies, or beliefs, of others and if I was going to commit to live all of the teachings, I needed to know for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was really the same church that Christ established when He was here, if the Book of Mormon was a true book, and if the things I was being taught was really the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have turned to God many times in prayer, but this time was a little different, I had an urgecy to know, so I knelt in prayer one night when I was about 21and asked..."is this true, am I doing the right thing, and are you proud of me..". The feeling that came over me was one I will never be able to deny. It was an overwhelming feeling of joy and pure Love. I know that Heavenly Father loves me, and I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me. A wise man once said "If everyone was perfect on earth except YOU, Jesus Christ would have still chosen to come to earth and die for YOU." I am so grateful to know that I can be forgiven of all the mistakes I have ever made in my life and all the ones I will make. Our burdens can be taken from off our shoulders, dropped hands can be held, and our chins can be lifted. The love of our Savior is real. As real as it can get! The Book of Mormon is the best book ever! it is true and we can find so many answers in it! The gospel has changed my life in so many ways! By living the gospel, I will become who I want to be!

How I live my faith

I try to live my Faith as best as I can! I love studying and reading the Book of Mormon every morning. I continue to try to seek ways I can become more like Jesus Christ. I think of some of His attributes, like Charity, Patience, Humility, Hope, and I do all I can with the help of God to continue to develop those things everyday. I am currently serving a mission in the great state of Washington, in the Washington, Seattle mission, so I get to go out everyday and share this great message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I could have not asked for a better 18 months! What a blessing. By walking around and sharing the Gospel and inviting people to learn more and to come unto Christ through baptism, I have been able to see the Gospel bless and change many lives! Its neat to know that after all I can do, the Lord will do the rest!
