Hi I'm Michael

I'm a businessman, cyclist, aviator and Navy vet. I'm a husband and father and nothing really extraordinary, except I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California but raised in Utah. I left there upon completing a bachelor degree and Navy ROTC , along with my new wife, to pursue a dream to fly in the Navy, something I did proudly for 10 years. We cherish the experiences and friends we made all over the world during that time of service to our country, but circumstances and my priority to family above all else forced us to leave that life and start another here in Colorado almost ten years ago. Now my business allows me to work with those who fly in defense of freedom all over the world to make their job easier. I am also the father of three rowdy boys, all of whom came to us in extraordinary and miraculous circumstances. So all the screeches, screams and messes are always accompanied by a twinge of gratitude that they are actually here with us. All in all, we live a good, standard American suburbia life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to good parents who were 3rd and 4th generation Mormons. They built a family based on service and truth and taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ when I was very young. They instilled within me a sense of honesty, reverence for my pioneer heritage, and a desire to seek after truth. And seek it I did within my religious upbringing, my own study of science and engineering, in the wonders of flight and in the miracles of birth and modern day medicine. Truth is only found in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the fullness of that truth is only found in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this to be true because of my personal relationship with my Savior, and the many manifestations He has spoken to my heart and spirit of what is right and true. That is, that Christ suffered and died to save us all from death and sin. That He restored the same Church that He established in ancient times through the prophet Joseph Smith. And that He stills stands at the head of it today and actively leads and directs it through prophecy and revelation.

How I live my faith

I have served in the church as a missionary and leader to both young and old. I currently teach a wonderful class on Gospel Principles that makes me want to be a better person every time I teach. More importantly, I try to live a true Christian life each day by the way I treat everyone around me, by leading my family in prayer and gospel study, and by sharing my testimony of truth whenever I can.
