Hi I'm Ron

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife and 5 children. Four of my children are married - all in the temple. My youngest is still in college at BYU. I am a computer programmer and have my own business. We specialize in creating automated telephone applications (called "computer telephony"). My family and my business bring much satisfaction in life. In addition, I give service to the church through my current calling as the Bishop to a congregation of about 400.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. My great great grandfather on my mothers side is Praley P. Pratt one of the apostles at the time of Joseph Smith. My great great grandfather on my fathers side also joined the church at the time of Joseph Smith. So I come from strong Mormon families. However, that being said, I have learned for myself about the importance of this church. I strongly believe in my heart that Christ has re-established his original church on the earth nearly two hundred years ago. My ancestors firmly believed it and I too learned for myself to know of this truth. It has become who I am. My parents were always good about respecting me as an individual with the right to choose how to live my life. This is how I choose to live. If you evaluate what the church teaches or does, you will find that it always builds and encourges good things and encourages us to become the best versions of ourselves as possible. It never tears down or destroys. "By their fruits ye shall know them". Christ's plan is to build and Lucifer's is to destroy. You will see Christ building through this church.

How I live my faith

Each member is usually given a responsibility to serve in the church. At this time, my call is to serve as the Bishop to a congregation of over 400. There are many responsibilities of a Bishop. At first it seemed overwhelming and an impossibility to handle the responsibilites of my family, my business, and the church. But the Lord does indeed lead and guide and many others serving in the church faithfully makes it all work very smoothly. As you watch the organization of the church - where all local leaders serve without pay - it is amazing to see - and obviously see that this is indeed Christ's church.
