Hi I'm Marilyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 sons. I have 8 grandchildren. I enjoy crocheting, reading, sewing, spending time with my family, swimming, and going on dates with my husband. I am a cosmetologist and enjoy the creativity it allowes me.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know the gospel is true and that we are here on earth for a purpose. We are here to become as Christ-like as possible. This church helps me grow and learn and become who I want to be. This church has a prophet and apostles and is exactly like the church the Savior organized when He was here in earth. The truth was lost over the years and has now been restored to the earth, so we could have it in our lives. There is so much joy in knowing who I am as a daughter of God, why I am here on earth, and where I am striving to go. Living the gospel keeps me from doing things that would bring sadness, pain and misery to my life. I can't imagine life without the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is true and Heavenly Father loves all of His children and wants all of us to return to His presence and have immortality and eternal life in an exalted state with Him. That is what I am striving to do.

How I live my faith

I am teaching a group of young people each Sunday. Our course of study is the Savior's life, mission and death. I have been very involved in Scouting over the years and have worked in the women's organization, the young women's organization and in the children's organization. I visit several sisters each month to check on them and give them a spiritual message.
