Hi I'm Jeff

I grew up in North Queensland. I consider myself a quiet achiever and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the church for over 50 years. The best thing I have achieved in life was to marry my wife in the temple and together raise six wonderful children who have blessed us with fourteen grandchildren whom we love and adore. I currently work as a Payroll Officer in a large prison. In my spare time I enjoy family history research and contact with extended family throughout Australia, England and Germany. I enjoy camping and outdoor adventures, spending valuable time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Religion has always been very important to me. I was raised as a child attending various churches (Salvation Army, Assembly of God, Lutheran). Missionaries of the church first taught my family in 1958 and it wasn't until 1960 when I was 13 that my parents, my brother and sister along with myself were baptised in a creek outside our town in North Queensland. I had read the Book of Mormon by then and found many answers to life's questions that had not been answered. I served a two year mission for the church when I was 17 building churches and lived with other church members as I volunteered my time and energy. I learnt so many valuable lessons that gave me the self-confidence that I have drawn upon throughout life's adventures. I have continued to serve others in the church and community. I strive continually to live by the standards of the church and have found true joy and happiness. I know that God has restored His true Church upon the earth in these last days and that God continues to speak to us today through His living prophet.

How I live my faith

I have always loved to serve others especially working with youth in developing their abilities to achieve self-worth. I also enjoy working with adults in developing leadership skills and Christ-like qualities. I consider myself to be a quiet achiever in that I live by quiet example the things I believe. Especially, I strive to be a true leader in my family through my words and example of love, understanding and service. The teachings of the church has helped be to be a good husband, father and now grandfather.
