Hi I'm Asher

I was born in Melbourne and grew up in Brisbane where my family and friends now live; I study at MSIT, And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Asher and I am the middle child out of three brothers. I have spent the majority of my life in Brisbane, and love it here! I like playing the guitar, exercising, having intellectual conversations and meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church when I was born, so I grew up learning about it. I spent most of my childhood not thinking too much of the beliefs of my family and the church until I read the Book of Mormon and found out for myself of its truthfulness. After grade 12, I struggled with depression and my beliefs were shaken. But luckily I was blessed to remember the happiness that the lifestyle that I lived brought to my life. I now believe with all of my heart and mind that the church is true. I have felt the spirit of god inside my heart, tell me that the book of Mormon was true, and I truly believe that by living a life that heavenly father wants for us, we can be with our families forever and have an ultimate joy in the life to come.

How I live my faith

Sunday has become my favorite day of the week, because it is a chance to escape from the stresses and filthiness of the world. It is also an opportunity to worship god and come closer to him. In the past I have had positions of responsibility in the church, but at this time, I do not. Right now, I am preparing for a mission, and am happy to help others in any way that I can. My life right now consists of learning about Jesus Christ, trying to be more like him, serving others to the best of my ability, and saving money for my mission. It's a lifestyle that is incredibly rewarding.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

One of the many ways that I know there's a god is due the the beauty of the world. Mostly always, I can go out my door and appreciate the amazing beauty of the world. It just speaks something spiritual to me. The thing that really tells me there's a god are the stars, planets and the universe. AMAZING! Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

I'd have to say that being a Mormon is really rewarding. We build friendships with each-other and help one another when we're having a tough time. The joy you can have while following Christ is available for anyone who wants to find out for themselves whether its real or true. Show more Show less
