Hi I'm Cindy.

I'm a Mormon. I'm a wife and the mother of nine, adult children. I am grandmother to twenty-six children.

About Me

I graduated from college with a B.S. degree in Child Development and Family Relationships. I was blessed to be able to be a full time, stay at home mother. It wasn't always easy, but has certainly been worth it. I like to exercise at least 5-6 days a week. Bike riding is my favorite. I also try to eat wisely. I find that taking care of my body makes a big difference in how I feel physically, emotionally, mentally and even spiritually. It takes constant effort. Some other things I enjoy are family, experiencing the beauty of nature, art, making quilts, yard work, teaching, learning and being of service to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my life experiences confirm that what I read in the scriptures, what I'm taught by the doctrine, what I practice, and the countless answers to my prayers are all true! I didn't always believe. My parents sent me to The Mormon Church as a child, but didn't come with me. I didn't get it. But then there came a time in my life when I really wanted the doctrine to not be true so I could do what I wanted. I prayed and told the Lord all the reasons I didn't believe, but in my heart I could not deny that it was all true. I went away to Brigham Young University and met my husband. We married in the temple for time and eternity and began an eternal family. We have lived the gospel faithfully, bringing up our children with scripture, prayer and gospel truths. That has made all the difference in our lives. Even though some of our children rebelled, they soon returned to those righteous principles they were taught in their youth. They too know the power of prayer and the scriptures. There is no denying that the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses our lives abundantly, even though we all have challenges and trials.

How I live my faith

I love Jesus Christ and know He is my Savior. Presently, I enjoy teaching an adult Sunday School class every other Sunday. I love teaching and learning from the scriptures. I've read them many times, and each time I read them I have a stronger and stronger conviction that they are inspired of God and have been given for our understanding and blessing. The stories of inspiration and faith from the scriptures are awesome! They motivate me to try and live a life more pleasing to God. They help me to know who God really is and how much he loves all his children throughout the world. I like to serve others and help them feel valued, loved, happy and reassured that they are a precious son or daugher of God, who loves them. Every life has meaning and an important purpose. .
