Hi I'm Janna Page O'Loughlin

Hi, I've lived most of my life in the southwest. I was converted to the Gospel when I was 26 and I'm so happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

Near and dear to our heart is our 15 grandchildren. They are beautiful, handsome, smart and polite. Yep, just about perfect in every way. My husband and I love to travel and have visited many beautiful and interesting places around the world. We've found that the most majestic place on earth is right here in our own backyard...Lake Powell on the Utah Arizona border. In our younger days we enjoyed hiking throughout the Colorado Plateau. We've seen many spectacular formations one can only see by boat or backpack. Those day are gone, but we have thousands of pictures and even more memories. We love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have received so many blessings in our life because of faithful service.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, I had never heard about the LDS Church or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I had heard of the Mormon Church, but had no idea they were one-&-the-same. When I was 25 and planning to marry, my husband-to-be expressed his desire for our family to be grounded in the Mormon Church. Having been raised as a strong bible-belt Baptist, my first question in response was, “Do the Mormons even believe in Jesus Christ”? The next step was to contact the missionaries. Even though I had a strong Christian background, when I came to understand the teaching of the “Trinity” (God, Jesus, & the Holy Ghost are the same being in different forms as needed), I did not accept that doctrine. –I knew from the depth of my soul that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost were separate beings, but one in purpose. As a child, I had talked with God; I had seen Him in my mind; I knew He was my Father. I knew He was all powerful and I also knew He was like unto the image of a man. I had known that all my life. –With the first discussion lesson, I knew I had found a church that believed what I had known to be truth.

How I live my faith

I was converted to the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ when I as 26. Since then I have served many callings in the church at every level. However, my all-time favorite calling was Gospel Doctrine teacher. I've been blessed to have had this calling twice. I love it because never before have I searched, pondered, and prayed about the scriptures more than when I'm preparing to teach.
