Hi I'm Kevin

I work in finance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young professional working in corporate finance. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 5 years and we became parents a year ago to a perfect daughter. I enjoy eating out and going on vacations. I studied International Business in school and have lived in the Czech Republic and Mexico. I love college football, and I am always telling my daughter about my favorite college football team.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are Mormon, but I have chosen to live as a Mormon for personal reasons. Being a Mormon requires a commitment, and I choose each day to live that commitment. I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon is true. When I read the Book of Mormon, my life is happier and I feel closer to God. Being a Mormon means I believe that my marriage will last for eternity. Since my wife and I have an eternal bond, we live our life with a long term perspective. This perspective allows us to not be preoccupied with the little things, and focus on the family. Mormons donate 10% of their income to the Church as a tithing. Sometimes when I donate my tithing, I dream about the fun items that could be bought with that money. As part of donating 10% of my income, I have become less selfish and happy. Money does not control me, rather I control it. Not having your finances under control can create significant amounts of stress and burden on individuals and families. In this manner, the Church helps people become happier and free of the burdens that money can cause.

How I live my faith

In my local church, I have been assigned to lead the effort of bringing new people to the Church. This has given me the opportunity to meet many amazing, inspiring people. These people have enriched my life and shown me that the world is still full of great people.
