Hi I'm Marci

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Southern California. I received a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education. I married my husband and moved out to Colorado for him to go to school. Although I worked for the beginning years of our marriage, I now stay at home with our son, which I love. My husband is in his last year of graduate school and I am anxious to see where work will end up taking us. I enjoy singing and reading. While I haven’t been able to go in years, I love snowboarding as well as dirt biking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized when I was eight. I’ve chosen to continue being an active member of this church throughout my life. I love this church and the person it has helped me become. I know that it is the only true church of Christ on this earth and that He is at the head of it. I am grateful for my Savior and for the sacrifice He made so that I may return to live with my Heavenly Father some day. I know I make too many mistakes and am far from perfect, but I am so grateful that I can repent of those sins and have them forgotten by my Heavenly Father. I am grateful for Joseph Smith and for his courage to do what was right in the face of adversity so that I could have this gospel and the Book of Mormon today. I know that the Book of Mormon teaches truth and is a testament of Jesus Christ. I have prayed about its truthfulness and know that I received that answer to my prayers. I’m grateful for the power of prayer. I love that I can talk to my Father in Heaven any time I need Him and that He is there for me. I know that He answers prayers, even if it’s not when we are expecting those answers. I am grateful for a living prophet on the earth today. I know that President Monson is called of God and receives revelation to guide this church. I am so grateful for revelation, as it is through revelation that this church was restored. It is through revelation that it continues to be the true church of Christ. It is through revelation that I know I am on the right path and that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve the women in our ward. It is such a rewarding position to be in. Through that calling as well as fulfilling my visiting teaching duties, I visit many sisters who I am able to serve in different ways when they are in need. The family is also a very central part of the gospel and I live my faith by spending time with them. We have discussions and activities at home that will strengthen our relationships and our testimonies in Jesus Christ.
