Hi I'm Vanessa

I married my High School sweetheart 14 years ago, and we have 3 beautiful children.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom of 3 wonderful children 11, 8, and 4 that keep me going! I feel very blessed that I can be at home and raise them. They bring me so much joy! I love to make and create beautiful things. I enjoy baking, making cakes and photography. I love to travel and now that my children are getting older we are able to do that more and more. I hope to be able to see other parts of the world some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 11years old when I was baptized into the LDS church. The missionaries came to my home and gave me the discussions and I felt 'good' when they came to visit each week. I was very active in the church until I turned 18. Several years later when my husband and I wanted to start a family we began to sincerely pray for answers. We wanted our children to have God in their lives and we prayed that the Lord would guide us to where He wanted us to be. Within a week, we had members of the Church knock on our door inviting us to church... even though we had lived in that home for 3 years with no previous contact. We knew our prayers were answered that day. Some may say it was coincidence but I know it was Heavenly Father reaching out to my husband and myself. My life is better for living the standards of the Gospel and having God, Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of the Holy Ghost guiding me every step of the way. I can't imagine how I would handle the trials and struggles that have come in my life with out the knowledge that I'm not doing any of it alone. I know that this is God's true church and that I am blessed for being apart of it. I feel His hand in everything I do and it brings me great peace and comfort knowing He is aware of me, He loves me, and He wants what is best for me.

How I live my faith

In our family I try to set the example to our children to always be thankful for all that we have been given. I think praying and thanking Heavenly Father each day for all that we have is very important. We pray as a family and individually. We attend church on Sundays and fulfill our callings to the best of our abilities. During the week our boys are apart of the Cub Scout and Boy Scout program. This program reinforces the standards the Church teaches so that when the time comes they will be prepared to be great missionaries, and fathers. When my daughter is old enough, she will be able to take part in Activity Days, which is a program for girls to help them develop their talents, faith and self confidence.
