Hi I'm Lindsay

I was raised in Utah. Work in HR. Enjoy traveling, cooking & camping/fishing with family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of three great kids with an incredible and wonderful spouse. We truly enjoy spending time together as a family traveling, swimming, eating, playing games or camping and fishing throughout Arizona, Utah, and Idaho. During Arizona's cooler seasons, I also enjoy vegetable gardening and grilling whatever will taste good off the BBQ. Professionally, I'm in Human Resource Management and enjoy the ability in my job to interact with other people and help them succeed and grow in their careers.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I made the personal choice to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints many years ago when I truly felt and received an assurance that this Church was the Savior's Church on earth today. I come from a long line of ancestors who have been members of the Church, and it would've been easy for me to simply follow after the traditions and practices I grew up with. However, I knew it was important for me to make my own decision. I had to know for myself why I'm living the way that I am. I had to know that it was the true and right Church to belong to. I'm a Mormon because I know the teachings and the organization of the LDS Church were restored by a true prophet of God and that the Church today is led by a true and living prophet. I'm a Mormon because I know that, through sacred ordinances performed within the Church, my family ties and relationship to my spouse, my children, my ancestors can continue after we die and into the next life. Truly knowing all of these things has significantly helped me cope and deal with the frequent challenges of life and has given me the type of hope and faith that brings stability and a healthy perspective. Finally, I'm a Mormon because belonging to this Church brings me happiness and fulfillment. It's helped me have a very personal and necessary relationship with God and I wouldn't want things any other way.

How I live my faith

As a young man, I was given some counsel and direction, in a very personal way, that strongly encouraged me to pattern my life after Jesus Christ. It meant for me to make good choices, show kindness, mercy and forgiveness to others, to be disciplined in my actions, so as all of these things would help me to be a good example to those around me. I've tried to follow that counsel throughout the years, though I will be the first to admit I'm not perfect and its not easy. I've worked with a lot of youth within my Church and community, teaching and participating in activities that will help these youth develop confidence, strong self-esteem, applicable skills, the value of hard work, and a strong testimony of faith, repentance, a testimony of the Savior, and of living prophets. I've tried to instill these same things into the lives of children, as well. I try to live my faith through quiet, consistent example among those around me whether its my family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc. At the same time, and on a personal level, I strive to live my faith with faith and rely heavily on prayer and the comfort that comes from the scriptures. There is great strength and peace that comes from reading and applying the scriptures in your individual life. Living your religion isn't a weekly activity on the Sabbath. It requires dedication, good decision making and focus every day to ensure you're practicing and living what you know to be true and right.
