Hi I'm James Teague

I'm a father. I'm a husband. I am an Account Manager for a large construction supply company in metro Phoenix. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a self-made man. I grew up in a poor home where my parents divorced when I was eight. I was taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ by a very intelligent mother who loves the Lord. I had to work hard for everthing I ever wanted. I wanted to serve a mission because I love the Lord. I served two wonderful years in the England Coventry Mission. I was taught the importance of a college education - I graduated from ASU in Business Management. I worked my way through college driving commercial vehicles - food delivery, aggregate hauling, and concrete trucks. My family is my life to me. I am blessed to have a wife who loves me dispite my weaknesses. I have five children who love to spend time riding horses, quading, camping, and just about anything else if they get to do it with me. I am an Account Manager selling to and managing construction supply sales to contractors here in metro Phoenix. I love my work because it affords me the opportunity to develop business and personal relationships with many people from numerous walks of life. I love to sell!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have had countless manifestations from His spirit that this is the same Church that Jesus Christ organized when He was originally here on the earth, but now restored again. I have been blessed with many great witnesses of the spirit that the Book of Mormon is another Testiment of Jesus Christ, that Joseph Smith really did see God the Father and His Son, and that the authority to act in His name (the priesthood) has been restored through Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery. I am a faithful, attending, devoted Latter-Day Saint because I have been given many wonderful spiritual blessings & witnesses of eternal truths throughout my lifetime. I have been saved from peril several times by our God & his holy angels. One instance of deliverance was a cold & rainy morning December 22, 1997. I was a concrete ready mix driver. Shortly into my day, an accident occurred & I found myself being crushed between two pieces of steel by a very powerful hydraulic ram. The pressure against my back & chest was immense. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't move because I was trapped. I started yelling for help with everything I had in me. No one could hear me. I started to pass out from lack of air & pain. Just before I lost consciousness, I pleaded with my Father - Oh God, please do not let me die like this. I lost consciousness for a time. I awoke & saw some people I didn't know and one of our drivers running around below me trying to figure out what to do (some people from across a busy street heard me yelling & came running to help) . They were able to release the pressure from the ram that was crushing me. An ambulance came & then I was air-lifted to a trauma center because they said I had pressure burns on my back & chest, an early sign of significant internal damage. I had no internal damage. I was saved by my loving Father because I asked in faith for His help. I am eternally grateful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day because I have a deep love for our God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Because I love the Lord, I work each day striving to love His Children. I am committed to my current calling in my ward- I teach 9/10 yr. old children sunday school. I pay an honest tithe to the Lord's church and other offerings. These donations help run His church, support missionaries sharing His gospel, give humanitarian aid to His children worldwide, and bless families who are struggling financially. As a father, I teach my children what I know to be true. I teach my children regularly from the scriptures. I teach my children to love the Lord and enjoy serving Him. I teach my children to think for themselves and be concerned for others. I work daily to help them feel a sense of duty to bless the lives of their family members, and the people around them at school. Finally, I live my faith by daily praying and asking for help to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ. It is very difficult to be as He is; our perfect example. I pick myself up and recommit myself each time I am not a good example, or have made an error. This is what is meant by the phase "Enduring To The End". I know I am His son, and I know He expects me to act as such.
