Hi I'm Joslyn

I grew up in Gilbert. I graduated from ASU. I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls and a wife of a loving husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love children. I graduated with a degree in Family and Human Development. I have two beautiful girls and a loving husband. We enjoy family activities such as camping, boating, hiking, and riding quads. We are big movie buffs too. I enjoy cooking, especially baking. I take pride in decorating my home and keeping it a safe haven. I enjoy home decor projects, turning old things into new. I like to exercise, particularly pilates and aerobics. Im into health and nutrition as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Just like Nephi, I have been born of goodly parents. I was born under the everlasting covenant and have been an active member my whole life. The turning point in my testimony was when I was 18 yrs old and working at Wendy's. My boss said that there was something different about me. My countenance was different than the other employees and that I had this glow about me. This was not the first time I had heard this from somebody. I went home that night and pondered about his comment. That's when it dawned on me that I was the only Mormon at my work. My life style was very different from those around me. Christ is the center of my life, not the idles of the world. I am the person I am today because I know that I am a daughter of God and I follow his teachings. I know that when I keep the commandments I am a happier person. I know that when my husband and I attend the temple regularly it brings us closer to our Savior and to each other. I believe in the power of tithing, priesthood, and keeping the Sabbath day holy. I know that Pres. Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and I am grateful for him. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many different ways of serving in my ward. I have worked with children, teaching them songs and stories of Jesus. I have worked with the boy scouts, particularly the cubs. And currently I work with the adult women in my ward. I help plan activities for these women that teach the preeminence of the home and family as the basic organizational unit of teh church . Our activities strengthen individuals, families, and assist the poor and needy in the Lord's way. I go to church every Sunday for three hours. Once a week I visit women in my community and minister to them. And once a month I visit the same two women and provide any service to them and their family that they might need.
