Hi I'm Leticia

I'm a stay-at-home mom to a little girl.

About Me

I am stay-at-home mom to a sweet little girl. My father was in the Air Force and so I grew up in several places around the United States, and I also lived in Panama City and Brussels, Belgium. My mother is from Chile so I have been able to visit family there. I earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Brigham Young University and worked at a newswire in Washington, D.C., for several years, and then we moved to Washington State for my husband's job. In 2010 we were finally able to welcome a baby girl to our family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14 years old, I read Joseph Smith's account of his First Vision. While I read, a warm feeling came over my entire body and I felt the Spirit tell me that this experience really happened. This was the same feeling I felt when I read Jesus' teachings in the Bible and I recognized it as the Holy Ghost. Years later, I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon. As I have lived my faith and put its teachings to the test I have witnessed that this gospel is true. I have been blessed in ways that I never imagined and I have come closer to the Savior. I don't always have perfect days and I certainly am not perfect, but I see how the Lord is guiding my life with his hand and that Heavenly Father and Jesus love me.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith means trying to be a little better each day and drawing close to Heavenly Father and Jesus by living the commandments. It means being honest and forgiving, being a good neighbor, serving, studying the scriptures, and praying. It means being easy on myself and trusting in Heavenly Father. Most importantly to me, it means finding peace and hope through the atonement of Jesus Christ.
