Hi I'm Ace

I'm adopted, and was raised by a faithful family in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I'm a radiologist, business partner, and father to four great kids. I enjoy coin collecting, a fun hobby passed down to me from my dad. I served a mission for the Church in Germany, and was in Berlin when communism in East Germany came to an end. The events there are some of the most memorable of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted as an infant. My parents never tried to hide this from me, but rather praised my biological mother as a brave woman who made some tough decisions, but ultimately gave me up for adoption and picked my family. And what a difference that made in my life! Although raised "in the church," my parents helped me determine for myself what was right and true. They consistently taught me good Gospel principles, and helped me to feel and recognize the Spirit of our Heavenly Father. My schooling and training has taught me to be analytical, contemplative, and decisive. These characteristics have also strengthened my testimony of Gospel principles as I have read in the scriptures, pondered their meaning, and prayer for guidance from our loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I gladly serve whenever I am asked to give of my time, whether it be with the children, youth, or adults. I am currently in the leadership of our ward, and love getting to know my neighbors and members even better. I am grateful to have the Priesthood, or the rights and authority to act in the name of our Heavenly Father. It is a privilege to serve others, and I am always better for giving freely of my time. My daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor in October 2010, and we have gone through a lot of anxious days and nights, as she has undergone several surgeries. However, I have felt our Heavenly Father close by during those times, and know that our understanding of His plan has helped us more than we can even understand. I know that our wishes and schedule don't always match us with the will of our Heavenly Father. But His plan for us is the best plan for us in the end.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Ace
It is easy to think that the Church endorses specific candidates or political parties, since several of the Church's positions on certain social issues tend to be supported by one political party. However, the Church is made up of people with different backgrounds and political ideals. I appreciate the official position of the Church in this regard. Show more Show less
