Hi I'm Amy

I am a Wife, a Mother, a Daughter, a Sister, a Friend and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 12 years to my amazing husband whom I met at college. We have 4 beautiful children and I start out each day with a goal to be patient and understanding of whatever may come that day.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandfather was not a member of our church. I loved going back East to visit him. He would smile and hug us and make us feel so important. At the end of the trip he always asked my mom if we were okay and would want to know if we were still living our "religion". He loved our standards we set. He knew what to expect of our family and even if he wasn't a part of our faith he wanted to make sure that we stayed they way we are. I think my grandfather saw the good and the spark in our eyes. He soaked it up and loved being around us. I am a Mormon because I love the way it makes me feel. I love that others around you can sense a difference in my life. They see it, they sometimes wonder what it is, and what to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a very small town. I knew everyone and everyone knew me personally. I didn't grow up in a Mormon community but a variety of all religions. We all excepted each other. The difference was how I lived my life. I didn't swear, smoke or drink. I didn't go to the weekend parties but made it a point not to judge my friends for doing so. It was their choice and they knew what mine was. I liked that they knew me and what I would and wouldn't do because I am a Mormon. I am a better person for it today. Setting those standards early in life has prepared me more and more for the way I live now. I need that foundation so that I can teach my kids the same standards.
