Hi I'm Jason

I'm a skateboarder. I've been to the US Army Ranger school. I am an Army Dentist. I'm a husband and father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up skateboarding, reading, playing chess, and shooting hoops. I joined the US Army Infantry shortly after I graduated and had a grand time with the 101st Airborne. I did ROTC and then dental school, and now I am an Army dentist in Afghanistan. I married a schoolteacher and now we have 3 wonderful kids.

Why I am a Mormon

My teenage years were sort of difficult. I wandered around spiritually in a lot of different areas, mainly Buddhism and agnosticism. Then I got to basic training and the drill sergeants said "you can go to church or scrub the toilets for two hours." So off to church I went and I found the peace and answers that I had been seeking. Later on I read the Book of Mormon and found further confirmation and peace. I am constantly amazed by the things I learn and am often comforted by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I like to help out at church, it helps me feel connected and gets me out serving other people. I have taught Sunday school, been a youth leader, and a mens group leader. Its always nice to get out of your comfort zone and try and help other people out since most everyone has problems, but not everyone has someone who wants to listen and is willing to help.
