Hi I'm Tom Holladay

I grew up in Arizona. I travel the world teaching Financial Reporting competency and control and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Professionally I enjoy accounting and financial control, personally I enjoy researching, brokering and valuating automobiles. I have found the greatest formula for happiness in this life is first serving my Father in Heaven and then my wife (and by extension my children), all else will work itself out. When faced with life's greatest challneges, I first check-in with my Heavenly Father, then assess the relationship I have with my wife, if those relationships are firm and steadfast, I will succeed. There is no greater feeling as a man then to be able to provide, preside and protect my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I would never want to get behind the wheel of an automobile without knowing the controls, abilities and protections it can offer, I would not get very far down the road. Life on this earth is very similar. Without the guiding principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I too would not be able to progress in this life and face it's challenges. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have learned to have Hope and then Faith. I have utilized Repentance (and still do). I have received an authorized Baptism and Gift of the Holy Ghost. Most sundays, I am able to partake of the sacred emblems of Christ's atoning sacrifice through the holy sacrament, which allows me to renew my baptismal promises. I receive instruction from inspired leaders on how to take care of my family and provide service to others. All this and much more allow me to receive the fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. I have the same challenges and problems as others; however, I feel fully equiped to face them and persevere.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Wolf Den Leader (cub scouts) in our congrgation (ward) and participate in the men's group for my age, where we receive further guidence on improving our relationships with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, our wives and children. I also have the opportunity to visit three other familes in our ward on a monthly basis and have a brief gospel lesson and discussion. The Church calls this Home Teaching and it is a privilege to participate. Associates outside of this Church may view the time invested as a hefty sacrifice; however, it feels as if the Lord blesses my family and I beyond what I could have imagined. For every minute dedicated to the Lord's service, I feel I receive an exponential return. Truth can be felt from the very inner recesses of my soul and it is comforting.
