Hi I'm Jamie

I'm a nursing student and I love life! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to school to become a nurse. I love being around people, especially my family. I love to run and bike and sing and play outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God! Reading and studying the Book of Mormon and the words of our modern prophets each day brings me more peace and happiness than anything else. I LOVE being happy and finding peace. The Holy Ghost prompts me to read my scriptures and because of that I know it is pleasing to God. When I follow the principles of the gospel I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and I know I am doing what He would have me do. It is a beautiful thing to know that Heavenly Father loves me and each one of His children. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches me how to set goals and work hard and never lose faith in my Savior. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and His gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be consistently honest and charitable. I try to make time for those around me and to keep my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ strong, through frequent and sincere prayer.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Jamie
I love the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is one of the best gifts we can receive as God's children here on earth because the Holy Ghost is an actual member of the Godhead that we can have with us all the time, if we so choose! It is quite a miracle. It is a testimony to me that Heavenly Father loves us. To help us obtain a knowledge of what is good and true, we have the Holy Ghost, to erase all doubt and replace it with peace. The Holy Ghost can bring peace to our souls when we are being taught true principles. Without the Holy Ghost, we would be much more confused. The Holy Ghost speaks directly to our spirits and if unidentified and new, that feeling can be surprising. With a heart and mind open to Jesus Christ, the presence of the Holy Spirit becomes sweet and so valuable. I try to live as God has instructed me to live so that I can have the Holy Ghost with me always. With the Holy Ghost always close by, I never have to be or feel alone. What a blessing. How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Jamie
Faith in Jesus Christ changes us into new beings. It keeps us focused on something so much bigger than ourselves, focused on eternity and bringing happiness to those around us on this earth. Christ taught us to love one another and always forgive. Two people in a relationship who are both full of faith in Christ can be so rewarding. Following Jesus Christ and desiring to be like Him creates the best foundation to any relationship, whether it is at work, home, school, or elsewhere. Show more Show less
