Hi I'm Travis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just a guy who likes to do things like hunt, fish and camp. Very outdoorsy. I've got four younger siblings, who I love and care about quite a lot. We all live with our Mom at home. We like to go as a family doing all sorts of stuff. We've been to places like the Grand Canyon, Disney Land and Yellowstone. I'm also a big fan of trucks, especially Chevys and Fords.

Why I am a Mormon

So, I wasn't always active in my church as a youth, but I've had a few experiences that have impacted my life. For example, during a particularly rough time in my life, I went to church one day to see my cousin give a talk. While singing the closing hymn, I felt this overwhelming feeling of love and concern from my Heavenly Father. I knew then that God lives, is our Heavenly Father and loves us. I also learned that Jesus is the Christ, and that He lived, died, and lives again just for me, so I can find happiness, despite the hardships I may go through. Since then, my knowledge of God has grown, and continues to grow. I love to serve God's children and I love to participate in the Church because that is where God can be found.

How I live my faith

So, I just returned from serving a mission in the Seattle area. My time as a missionary was truly a life changing experience, where I got to meet people who were looking for something more in their lives. Some accepted our message, and some didn't, but I've found lots of joy in watching people learn the gospel, and even more joy when I saw people live His gospel and be baptized, or return to church. I sincerely hope that soon I will receive another opportunity to serve in my local congregation in my hometown. I love to serve the Lord and my brothers and sisters. Other ways that I live my faith include praying daily, striving to live the teachings I learn from the scriptures and by continuing to share the gospel with my family and friends.
