Hi I'm Rindy Mullenaux

I'm a girl who grew up in a classic small town who loves theater, Spanish and experiencing new cultures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a teacher who loves theater, Spanish, and travel... when I have the money. I love going to unfamiliar places, especially if I don't speak the language, and getting to know the place and the people. I did the college thing; which took a while because I didn't know what I wanted to study. Once I found my passion for theater I found my way, but it took even longer to find my love of teaching. But now I have such an understanding of those who take forever to find something they want to do with their life. Now that I've found teaching it is such a happy thought being able to do three of my loves, teaching Spanish and theater. One thing that I haven't mentioned that I really love in this life is running. It truly is such a relief during the day. It goes back to the Seven Covey habits of "sharpening my saw." Running is such a happy thought in my life because it not only gives me more energy and confidence, it pushes me to go my hardest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know Heavenly Father loves us. I try to put into one sentence why I'm a Mormon and it is for so many reasons. I love my Savior, I love my family and through His gospel I can go through this life happy and return to live with Him again. I can receive His word not only through the scriptures, but through modern day revelations, that we still receive today. I grew up a Mormon, but this does not mean I didn't find out for myself that this is true. I grew up having amazing examples to follow, but there came a time I had to know for myself. This is when I turned to the Lord and asked the simple question, is this all true? Did you really call a modern day prophet. If so, what do I need to do? Of course, He being perfect and knowing me personally, answered my question the way I needed to receive it. And since then I've never been happier and more confident of Heavenly Father's love for me and His plan for me. I can begin each day with such confidence in knowing that I can return to live with Him and my family again. Being a Mormon means to me, being a true follower of Jesus Christ, not only in words, but in thoughts and actions. I know that Heavenly Father has called righteous men to lead and guide His church for our day. He truly is at the head of this church, and leads it. I am constantly in awe of Heavenly Father's plan for us and how perfect it is.

How I live my faith

I have many privileges to serve others in church. I've been able to help and teach the young women of the church. I loved that time because we could at one moment sit and discuss our testimonies of the Savior and the next moment go and do an activity that would serve others. I've also been privileged to work a lot with the women of the church. I've been able to teach the sisters and be taught by them. Teaching has been a big part in my life, so I was always grateful to have those opportunities to teach others things of the gospel. I've been able to visit with women and their families in their homes and together we have had opportunities to help those around us. I always found that after I could serve others around me I was so much happier.
