Hi I'm Laura

I'm an engineer. Singing makes me happy. I love to be out in nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life has a soundtrack. There is always a song going through my head. When I work out, the songs are usually intense, when I go to sleep, they are usually soothing, and when I think something is funny, the songs are usually made up on the spot. My brothers tease me that I accidentally slip into song when I'm talking. I don't even notice it. I like to go for long walks with my dog, Riley, and anyone else who cares to join us. I love the seasons. I always get a little bit sad at the end of a season, but also really excited for the next one to start. I would say that Autumn is my favorite, but that's probably just because it's coming up next.

Why I am a Mormon

Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of us. And the details of that plan are never quite what we expect. But at the end of every plan for each of His children, there is eternal happiness. It's really up to us to humble ourselves and listen to the Spirit to guide us in following God's plan. Or we can choose another way. I've done both at different times in my life and I know that following God's plan for me always leads to greater happiness and fulfillment than I could come up with or imagine for myself. His plan for us includes learning His gospel and following His commandments. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is part of Heavenly Father's plan for each of us - established by His son, Jesus Christ, to help us return to live with them one day. I choose to be a Mormon because I feel the truth of these things in my heart and mind and have experienced how they have changed my life for the better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to look for opportunities to serve the people around me. I build my relationship with God through scripture study and prayer.
