Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I hate filling these things out. I never know what to say. I'm married to my best friend and we have 2 kids, a boy 5 and a girl who is 2 months old. I love to read fiction, anything that transports me to another world. I love to cook and bake but I hardly have the time to actualy do it. I hate cleaning bathrooms and can't wait until my kids are old enough to do it for me ;) I've lost 50 lbs but since the birth of my daughter, have gained some of it back. Once things settle down (she's currently in the NICU because she was born 13 weeks early) I'll get back into my routine. I love music, especialy country (Rascal Flatts baby!), the Hymns of the church, Christmas music, and classical are my favorites. I'm an only child and the oldest of 7. I love to cross stitch and would really like to learn to sew and knit. Maybe some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but never really attened church with my family. My parents divorced when I was young and neither really went. I remember going a few times as a kid, with a family friend, and although I was finaly baptized when I was 10, I stopped going. It was until I was 14 that I started feeling a desire to know God and his Son and if what I had been taught by the missionaries was true. The summer of my 14th year I was able to have some special experiences that answered the questions I had. A wise bishop gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon and due to those experiences, I knew the book was true before I even read it. Of course I quickly consumed the book and prayed about it and had that truth further confirmed for me. That was many years ago and I haven't looked back since. I've been active in the church and have read the Book of Mormon and the other scriptures many times. I have had many experiences that have helped me to feel Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for me. I know that I am a daughter of God and that knowledge has led me to become the person I am today. I'm thankful for eternal families and for temples and the priesthood that make eternal families possible. I'm thankful for Christ and his sacrafice and teachings. I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon and the other Holy Scriptures that help me learn of Christ and of how I need to live to be happy. I'm thankful for a living prophet to help me know what Christ would have me do today. I'm thankful for the Holy Ghost who testifies that what I'm learning is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true chruch of God on the earth and that President Monson is his prophet. And that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm a Visiting Teaching supervisor. I call the women I'm over every month to remind them to visit the sisters they've been assigned to see every month. I remind them that we all need to feel the love of the Savior in our lives and the love of other women. I ask if they need help in visiting and try to help them in any way I can so that they can fulfull their mission.
