Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Paradise Valley, Arizona. And I am a stay at home mom and mother of three.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom and mother of three. My full time job of being "mom" is slowly coming to a close as my youngest is almost 17. I am the superintendent of the Pinal County Dairy Goats in Arizona and have raised and shown goats with my youngest for 11 years. We have also kept busy with my oldest two showing hogs and horses. We live on three acres on the outside of town where we enjoy a slower paced life style and enjoy or freedoms here. I also have worked as a volunteer for the Mesa Arizona Temple for 14 years in the clothing department. My life is full in so many ways and love to just spend time with my family. We enjoy taking trips together and have visited almost all the states and Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

Because without it....for me....I would be lost. I am a very strong willed person, very self sufficient but the teachings of the gospel have helped make me....more teachable, more Christlike, more humble, more grateful, more prayerful, it makes me look at myself....I don't know where i would be without it.

How I live my faith

I had to learn for myself if the teaching of the church were true. The Book of Mormon was key to my finding out for myself if the church was true. Its hard to put into words how reading this book changes lives, but it does, because its true. I read it daily and I am grateful for the sacrifices that were made so that i can pick it up whenever i want and read it. It truly is an amazing book. I also had a great example through my mother who taught me by example how to live a Christ centered life. I am grateful for the still small voice of the Holy Ghost and how it has guided me through some very difficult times. The temple has probably brought me the most peace and i am so very grateful for them. I go often and find many answers and guidance there. I have spent many years working with the youth of the church and have learned so much more from them than I am sure they did from me.
