Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and I am a convert to the church.

About Me

I grew up in Massachusetts. I am married to my wonderful husband of 8 years, and I have 2 beautiful children. During college I spent a year abroad in France where I had the opportunity to travel all throughout Europe. I enjoy traveling to other countries and learning about their history and culture. I have my Master's degree in Social Work, but I am currently a stay at home mom. I love being home with my children and spending time with them. I am an avid runner and have run a few marathons, as well as a triathalon and a Ragnar relay. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a wonderful life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. I grew up attending the Unitarian church throughout my teenage years and during those years I felt like something was missing. Around the time I was 26 years old, I realized my life was lacking a sense of spirituality, and I was seeking something more. It was at that time that I met a Mormon during a white water rafting trip, who introduced me to the church. I had not known much about the church, but after I read the Book of Mormon, I felt the spirit and had a desire to learn more. While I was investigating the church, I attended a session of General Conference and after listening to talks given by President Hinckley and other General Authorities, I knew I wanted to join the church. It has been several years since I joined the church and during that time I have gained a greater understanding of my purpose in life, particularly being a wife and a mother. Having a testimony of the Gospel has enhanced my happiness and has given me the sense of spirituality I was looking for all those years ago.

How I live my faith

For me, living life as a Mormon means striving to live a purpose-centered life. I enjoy helping and serving others, both within my community and within my church. One of the responsibilities I had in the chuch about a year ago was acting as Service Coordinator. I really enjoyed the opportunity I had to coordinate service projects with organizations within my community and participate in helping others. I also believe it is important to teach my children Gospel principles, especially teaching them to help and to be kind to others. For me, helping and serving those around me gives me happiness and strengthens my relationship with Jesus Christ.
