Hi I'm Lauren

I like to make snowmen. I go about roamin, to find all those who knowmen who want to hear more about why I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the church. It is an AMAZING experience. I meet so many people in all walks of life and have the opprotunity to help them gain eternal salvation. I love people. I am helping them spiritually right now but I hope to one day help them temporally as well. I like sports, movies, friends, family, cheese, microwaves (the wonders that come out of them), lakes, the ocean, nature, fishing, snowboarding, rapping... yeah it's a secret desire, and many more things do I like. mhm! Not enough room on here to say all of the things that I like but I think that is enough for now. I can't wait to see more people I talk to while on a mission come closer to Christ and find the path that will lead to eternal happiness. :)!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but am still a convert. There came a point in my life where I felt like I needed to decide for myself if this church was true by prayer and study. I did that and have felt in my heart that this church is true. It wasn't a sudden, "'BLAM!' this church is the one!" It was piece by piece through the Holy Ghost testifying to me until I finally realized and felt deeply that this is Jesus' church once again established on the earth. I can't really explain the feeling except that it felt right, and I felt happiness. And I feel happy every time I think about my testimony and that I am a member of this church. I am excited for my testimony to strengthen throughout my life and to share my testimony with others so they can find true and lasting happiness. That is why I am serving a mission.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consecration. Consecrating my thoughts, words, deeds, actions, etc to the Lord's will and striving every day to be more like Jesus Christ. This means that I pray, study the scriptures, look for opprotunities to help people, and try to become a better person every day.

What is the priesthood?

The priestood is the power and authority given to men on earth to act in Gods name for the salvation of His children. Just like in Bible times, worthy men are given the priesthood today by the laying on of hands by those who have authority. Having the priestood means you has permission from God to baptize, give blessings of healing and comfort, spread the gospel, and much more. Just like Jesus gave authority to His apostles and diciples in the New testament, He does so still today through a living Prophet. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

We value life, It is a gift from God. We should take it seriously because of that truth. That is why we don't abort babies. We encourage adoption when the possibility of raising the child with a mother and father is not available. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

The testimony that people recieve of Jesus Christ through the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
