Hi I'm Melanie

I'm a paraplegic. I'm a wife and a mom and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of two. I am a life time member of the church. I am a parapalgic and have been that way for 17 years. I love to read and do genealogy. I go for walks or strolls as my family says and love to bake.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a lifetime member of the church. This being said I have studied the scriptures and know that this is the true church. I have felt the holy ghost whisper to me that the things that I have read and prayed about are true. This knowlege has gotten me through many hard times and challenges. It helped me through a serious car accident and many deaths. I know that through all of these things my heavenly father watched over me and if I keep trying to be like him I can live with him and my family after this life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is easy. I am now working with the cub scouts in my ward. We meet weekly as a pack and I go to monthly meetings to know how to better serve the boys. I read my scriptures and pray daily. I also meet with other sisters in the ward to see if they need any help. We talk about our problems and how the gospel could help us with them. I have made friendships during those visits that will last the rest of my life. I love serving my neighbors and my friends if that means taking a dinner when they are sick of helping pick grapefruit off a tree and giving it away so the fruit will not be wasted.
