Hi I'm Monica Jeffries

I'm a Mormon. I love my family, taking care of my husband, cooking, little kids, learning, the outdoors, exercizing and cleaning.

About Me

I have no children of my own, but have found great joy in loving, caring for, and teaching the children of others. I have been a nanny for a family whose mother died of colon cancer. I have learned so much! I have supported my husband through law school and currently enjoy managing a home and supporting him in his work.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because I want to be! I have been a Mormon all my life and, over time, I have felt (and continue to feel) peace, direction, and deep joy by obeying and learning about the teachings of Jesus Christ. I think it is a blast to be a part of something so good, right, and true! I know God lives and this is His church. I know the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making time each day for personal scripture study and sincere prayer with my Heavenly Father. My husband and I pray together each morning and night and read a scripture each morning. We also have a Family Home Evening each Monday. At FHE, we sing hymns, pray, have a gospel lesson, spend time together, and eat treats! I attend all church meetings and try to obey church leaders. I spend time serving in the temple once a month. I thank God and ask him to bless my food before I eat each meal. I downloaded the scriptures, uplifting music, and other awesome church material onto my ipod. I visit, teach, and help three women who live near me. I serve on a committee that plans and organizes meetings designed to strengthen marriages and families. I try to always find the good in others, forgive freely, and most of all… I try to be like Jesus.
