Hi I'm Bruce

I'm a husband, a dad, and a marketing research manager. I have an identical twin brother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with wonderful parents and seven brothers and sisters. I've also lived in Texas, Brazil, and Kansas. I've been happily married to my best friend for 25 years, and I'm a father to two wonderful children. Since graduating with a MBA, I've worked as a marketing research manager. I've traveled internationally and seen many interesting places around the world, but my favorite place of all is at home with my family. I also enjoy music; I play the trumpet. I enjoy sports. I also enjoy reading, learning, and growing. I love people and I enjoy serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a young man, I was blessed with faithful parents who taught me to pray and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew as I attended church and enjoyed weekly Family Home Evenings together with my family. When I read the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, I gained a witness that the Book of Mormon is true and that Jesus is the Christ. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me much joy, happiness, and peace. I know that if I live righteously, I can be together with my family forever. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try hard to follow Jesus Christ. As a 19-year old, I served a two-year mission for the Church in Brazil. It was a life-changing experience to serve others and share the happiness and peace of the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I have been richly blessed through living the gospel. I start and end each day with prayer to my Heavenly Father. I read scriptures every day so that I can learn more about the Savior, and commit to understand and follow His commandments. I serve in the church because I love the Lord, and I love people.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Family relationships can last forever. Just as some of life’s sweetest joys can come through family associations, the loss of a beloved family member can be a source of our deepest sorrows. Jesus Christ gave power to His disciples to seal families together forever when He said, “And it will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19). Death does not need to be the end of our relationships with cherished loved ones. The Lord revealed to that the “same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there [in eternity], only it will be coupled with eternal glory” (Doctrine and Covenants 130:2). Family members who accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and follow His example can be together forever through sacred ordinances performed in God’s holy temples. These ordinances seal a husband and wife together for all eternity and children to their parents as an eternal family. Show more Show less
