Hi I'm Diane

I am a retired elementary school teacher. I have four children and eleven grandchildren. Life is great! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a dairy farm in Arizona and graduated from BYU with a degree in elementary education. I have fond memories of both life on the farm and fun college experiences. My wonderful family has been a great blessing in my life and I love spending time with them. It has been fun to take some fun trips since retirement! Who would have thought I would ever visit the Great Wall of China! I also enjoy taking trips with choice roommates I had at BYU. We are still close and enjoy spending time together. We are now sharing grandparent stories and the ups and downs of life. I also enjoy reading, going to antique stores doing puzzles, and eating pie!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a loving Latter-Day Saint home where I was taught the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have gained my own testimony of the gospel and have felt the sweet and assuring whisperings of the spirit in my heart. I love to read the scriptures and faith-promoting histories of my pioneer ancestors. I am thankful for the doctrine of the family as explained in "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" and for the great plan of happiness. Although my husband and a son have passed from this life, I have complete faith in the plan of salvation and know they live and we can be together again. The gospel brings peace, joy, and contentment. It blesses, heals and uplifts. It provides the true guidelines for a happy, healthy life. I know Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw, that he was called of God and is a true prophet; that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored in these latter days, and I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet to the world today. I continue to follow the gospel because I want to live with my family and my Savior again. I know that my Savior, my personal dear Redeemer, knows and loves me individually and has marked the path for my safe return. I am grateful for this testimony of truth that burns within my soul.

How I live my faith

I have a sacred responsibiility at this time to serve as president of a wonderful organization for women. In this organization we seek to follow our Savior Jesus Christ by offering loving service. We strive to increase our personal faith, strengthen our families and serve each other. I know that service brings joy and peace, and I dearly love spending time with many wonderful sisters. It is such a sweet joy to know that our families and friendships can be eternal. I am thankful to serve under the direction of the priesthood, and I know that as we serve others we are serving our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
