Anita: homecare, nurse, gardening, convert, Mormon.

Hi I'm Anita

About Me

I am a Registered Nurse living in Canada. I am married, have a family and love to garden. I work for home care and take care of people who are dying of serious diseases. I have searched and researched the scriptures for many years. That and along with much prayer I was lead by our Heavenly father to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know for a fact that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. Please read your scriptures to find out more. If you wish to find out more about the Church of Jesus christ of Latter Day Saints, there are likely Church missionaries in your area. Please ask them or any church members you may know.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have stated above I am a member of the Church because of my search for the truth. That search took me many years. I hope and pray you will consider reading your scriptures, and if you don't already, ask heavenly Father directly in prayer.

Personal Stories

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

We as humans are creatures of habit. You will know this if your environment changes, for example if you move or get a different job. We all know the feeling of being 'lost" until you find the familiar. It may take awhile, but in time we have a new "regular' spot to sit at during breaktime, a new "regular' doctor, dentist or other places in your new location etc. When referring to choosing the right we too can make this a habit. Just like if you begin to allow yourself to eat junk food you crave more not less. If you eat healthy and exercise you"crave" that in your body. It is a simple thing which we are all familiar with. Choosing and continuing to choose the right in situations makes choosing the right a habit and you find it easier to continue to choose the right in the future.

How I live my faith

Becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints meant for me giving up my coffee. What a small sacrifice! I learned more about the scriptures, I learned that there are more scriptures to love, and I learned that becoming a church member really only meant doing and becoming everything I truely really wanted to do and to be to begin with. What I mean by this is that members live lives where they try not to do negative things like swear or joke coarsly, they try to love and forgive and be of service to everyone, members or not. If you ask anyone, that is something we all really desire, I believe that is because we are like heavenly Father, and we are happiest being like him. Of course that doesn't mean being "perfect" -only to keep trying- and be going in the right direction. If we could all be "perfect" Jesus would not have had to die on the cross as a sacrifice. I love the Lord and I hope you can live life begining to step forward putting him first in your life too. It can only make you happy. If you are already, believe it or not, it can only make you happier. God Bless you in your search. -Anita.
