Hi I'm Salina

I'm Karen, I was born in Burma, I have lived in America for 4 years and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Salina. I am senior and i single, I have five sisters and two brothers. I am the only one member of the church in my family. I love to read, write, cook, clean and i love outdoor. I also love to help people. I am a refugee from Burma and I am very proud of my Karen heritage.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know this Church is true.I am happy to know who am I and why I'm here and how blessed I am to be apart of such an amazing Church. I'm am so grateful with God that He love me and I met wonderful missionaries and they taught me and helped me to understand the gospel and read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. At first, I didn't believe them and I disagreed with them and I didn't like them. But they came over to me again and again and helped me to understand more about the Book of Mormon. Later on, I prayed and read the Book of Mormon and I received an answer and I know that what I learn from the missionaries is true.I started to go to church every week. As i started to go to church i really like it. I always feel the spirit in my heart, But I had a hard time with my family. They tried to stop me to go to church and they didn't want me to be baptized by someone who has God's power. Even though my family didn't like it and other people thought that I am bad child, I know that I am daughter of God and He loves me and He wants me to be happy. On June 18, 2011, I got baptized. I got baptized because the Holy Ghost told me to do so over again and again. After I got baptized I can tell that my life was changed. I feel more happier and proud of what I did. I am so proud of to be a Mormon. I know the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints is true and the Book of Mormon is true because I prayed and asked God about it. And I feel really good about it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day by following the commandments and being an example to those around me. I attend church every Sunday as i could and by reading the scriptures every day and praying often in gratitude or need. I find service the best way to keep my faith alive by teaching Karen people about the gospels and helping the missionaries as they go and teach Karen people. I strive to be like the savior and follow his example.
