Hi I'm Tamara

I am a wife, a bookworm, a soccer player and a nursing student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the middle of nine kids and love being part of a big family. I am working on a second bachelor's degree, this time in nursing. I love learning; there are so many wonderful things to learn in this world. I love reading and get so excited when I find another good series. My husband is my best friend and spending time with him is my most favorite past-time.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are also Mormons, and I was raised going to church with them. I always loved reading the scriptures and learning of Jesus Christ. When I was a teenager I decided to study and pray and learned for myself that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the word of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I've grown, I've come to learn of other religions and philosophies and I've found a lot of truth and good elsewhere, but never the completeness I've found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The teachings of Jesus Christ give me hope and purpose and continually bring happiness into my life. We have the full gospel as the Savior instituted during his life on earth. The keys of the kingdom, as given to Peter, are held today by a living prophet of God, namely, Thomas S. Monson. With those keys, families can be sealed together forever. Knowing that my family will be together after this life is an amazing source of comfort in hard times.

How I live my faith

The simplest way I try is to be kind to everyone, a smile can go a long way. I try to be positive, encourage others, and take time to notice that there are so many beautiful things in the world and reasons to be happy. I am currently serving as a leader of the youth group in my ward. I am blessed to teach the teenage girls each Sunday and enjoy being with them for a midweek activity each week. I love being with these beautiful daughters of God and seeing their strength and faith. My husband and I read scriptures and pray together every day and it helps us to be more mindful of the Savior. There are many opportunities to serve others and I try to make sure I perform some kind of service each day.
