Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in Montana. I love to run. I am a mother of 3. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town, and have since lived in different countries and places throughtout the U.S. I graduated from college in California with a degree in biology. Currently I live in Arizona with my husband and three children, where I am a stay-at-home mom. I love to run, and have run one marathon so far. I also enjoy particpating in long distance relay races. Sports of all types, especially volleyball, basketball, and tennis are also fun. I have enjoyed coaching a junior high girls' volleyball team this past year. Living overseas, I learned to make a lot of things from scratch out of necessity. I learned to enjoy baking and making bread. I love to try new recipes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Savior and am so thankful to him. I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the church Jesus set up on the earth to help us return to live with him. It is directed by Him through his prophet. I know the Lord has a plan for us to come to this earth so that we can learn good from evil and learn to overcome the evil. Because the Savior was willing to die for me, I can now repent and partake of his grace. Through being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, I can receive the ordinances and learn the principles to be with Him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to treat others around me with kindness. I am trying to follow the Savior's example. Currently I am a member of the presidency of the women's group of our congregation. This provides me with a wide variety of opportunities. I am able to visit and assist those who may need help due to illness, unemployment, or other emergencies. I was also recently in charge of the chili cook off for our congregation's Halloween party. I have had opportunities to teach teenagers and young children as well. Living overseas I had many opportunities to serve among the people in Africa. I served as the president of the church's children's organization there, and helped to train other leaders. I was also able to teach piano lessons to those who wanted to learn. In the community, I taught some classes on basic cleanliness and sanitation. I believe through service and meeting other people's needs, I can help them feel the love the Lord has for them.
