Hi I'm Brad

I'm an honest businessman, a loving family man, and an outdoorsman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a parent of two young kids and husband to a beautiful wife. I live in Colorado and work for an accounting firm.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was a few years old. Even though they struggled to stay active for a few years, they continued to teach us the principles of the gospel. As I grew older, I started to wonder if I truly believed that our church was true, or if I just followed my parents. Once that question popped into my mind, I spent a lot of time on my own, praying and reading the scriptures, asking God if the things I had been taught were true. He answered my prayer. I felt, with absolute certainty, that this was the true Church of Jesus Christ. It is a wonderful feeling to know that my beliefs are my own, independent of anyone else.

How I live my faith

I find many opportunities to live my faith at work. As one of the only people who do not drink alcohol, I am often asked about my beliefs. It is always interesting to share my religion with my co-workers in this way. It is also refreshing to see people who respect that fact that I stand up for what I believe, even though they may not share my beliefs. Living in the South, there are many different churches and belief systems. It's interesting to discuss our beliefs with our children as they grow up with friends and teachers who believe different things than we do. Talking through the "why" of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a great opportunity to better understand the purpose of His Plan.
