Hi I'm Michael

Born and raised a Kiwi. Married to my beautiful wife with 4 awesome kids. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband. My wife and I have 4 wonderful children. I am a software developer and an entrepreneur. I speak Japanese and love learning languages. I come from a large family - the eldest of 13 children.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before I was born, so it has been as I have gotten older that I've appreciated more and more what I've gained from being a member. As well as my personal belief that this is Jesus Christ's true church, I also recognise the day-to-day benefits of being a member of His church. The standards that we as members of the church try to live can sometimes appear to those looking on to be restrictive. But I've come to understand more and more that as we live by the standards and commandments that have been taught to us by Jesus Christ and his prophets, we live a much happier, free and fulfilling life.

How I live my faith

My current responsibility is to be the Bishop for the area in which we live. A Bishop is responsible for many things including providing assistance for individuals and families who are struggling financially, spiritually, emotionally, and so on. I also encourage all families to strive to keep the commandments, and I oversee the running of church meetings.
