Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a small-town girl from the White Mountains of Arizona. I'm a dancer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am twenty-one years old and am studying accounting and dance in college. I always enjoyed school growing up, and I love it even more now. I'm grateful to have so many awesome opportunities to learn, meet new people, and especially to dance. I'm not the best dancer I know, but it fills me with joy and makes life feel beautiful. I hope to do it for the rest of my life. I like learning to dance and I like teaching others what I have learned. I hope to teach ballroom dance to high-school students or maybe coach a dance team someday. I've enjoyed what I've learned so far in my accounting major. T-accounts were so exciting the first time I learned them, and I decided accounting was right for me. My family is central in my life. I have learned most everything from them and they are my best friends. I love the confidence they inspire in me, how they tolerate my quirks but encourage me to be better, and how we make each other laugh. My dream is to marry in a holy temple and raise my own family in Christ's church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family that was very active in the church, and have participated all my life. Although I learned the things that we teach and I believed it, I took much of it for granted and had a casual attitude about it. As I read the scriptures and prayed daily, and tried to be obedient to the principles I was taught, however, I was blessed with spiritual experiences that have given me more excitement for the teachings of Christ. I have felt the Holy Ghost many times, testifying to me that Christ lives, and that He and my Heavenly Father love me. I have learned that Heavenly Father listens to me when I speak to HIm in prayer and answers those prayers with the things that are important to me in my life. We are taught in the scriptures that we can learn whether a principle is true by living it. When I try my best to live the things I am taught, I feel good and I have greater joy. I know the things I'm taught in this church are true! The more I live the things I learn at church and in my personal study of the scriptures, the more I am satisfied and happy with my life, and the more hope I have for a bright future. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy!

How I live my faith

I've learned a lot recently about the importance of families and how they are central to God's plan for our happiness. I live my faith by making small efforts daily to treat my family better and to love and serve them. I try to treat everyone I meet with kindness and love as Jesus Christ did.
