Hi I'm Trent

I'm a Mormon. I live in Arizona, and love sports. I especially love diving and golfing with my children.

About Me

I am a father of 4. I love doing things with my family. I especially enjoy helping my children learn new talents and hobbies. I recently helped my 15 year old son become scuba certified so that he and I can take scuba trips together. I enjoy all kinds of sporting hobbies which include hiking, fishing, baseball, basketball, snow skiing, and especially scuba diving. I also enjoy reading. Some of my favorite types of novels are mystery and spy novels. Vince Flynn and David Baldacci are two of my favorite authors.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that everyone in their life needs to make decisions for themselves when it comes to religion. I grew up a Mormon. My Father converted to the church about a year before I was born. Even though I grew up in the church, I still had to decide whether it was right or not. For me it comes down to two factors. 1. The Book of Mormon - It is either true or it's false. 2. Joseph Smith - He was either a prophet, or he was a fraud. I know through study and pray that Joseph Smith is a Prophet. If he is a prophet, then the Book of Mormon has to be true. One cannot go without the other. I have put to the test what the Lord has promised. Read the Book of Mormon, Ponder it in your heart, and then pray and ask God if it's true or not. He has promised that he will reveal the answer to you through the Holy Ghost. He has answered my prayer and becuase of this, I know it to be true. Everything else just falls into place because of this knowledge. The great thing is, he has promised that anyone and everyone can know. You just need to have the desirre and the willingness to put it to the test.

How I live my faith

I currently serve the youth in my church. One of the great principles this church has taught me is the power of service. I know that through service, miracles happen. One of the greatest joys I have in life is being able to serve others. I have had the opportunity to serve a mission which brought many blessings to my life. We are currently organizing a service project for our entire congregation. The plan is to help a non-denominational childrens home with clean up and landscaping of their facilities. I can't wait to be involved in this service as I know it will bless the lives of many children. More importantly, I know it will bless my life and the lives of my family as they become involved in this kind of service.
