Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am the mother of two children and grandmother to 5 grandchildren. I have worked most of my life as an administrative assistant. I was married and sealed in the Logan Temple. The marriage lasted for 27 years, and then my husband decided to take a different track with his life, so I am now divorced. Throughout all of the trials of my life, the Lord has guided me and helped me to move forward with faith and optimism.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first of all because my ancesters were Mormons and came to the United States early in church history so they could live their religion. Is that why I am still a Mormon? No, I discovered my own testimony early in my life and have never doubted that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restoration of Christ's church on the earth. The Holy Ghost continually reinforces this belief, and the Savior sustains me as my life progresses. I know we are guided by modern day prophets, and I find this to be such a comfort in a world that is in turmoil most of the time. I know that God has a plan for all of us and that if we live righteously and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, we can return to live with him.

How I live my faith

I have held many, many callings during my lifetime. My favorite calling is teaching the women of the church and sharing the gospel and my testimony with them. I have served in leadership positions and have taught in all of the organizations of the church. I currently teach the youth who are 12 and 13 years old. We are learning about the Presidents of the Church. Their exuberance makes them a challenge to teach, but they are great kids and want to learn all they can to help them be what their Heavenly Father wants them to be.
