Hi I'm Joe

I'm a businessman with a great family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have enjoyed a career as a firefighter and now work as a businessman in advertising. I currently am thoroughly enjoying being a Grandparent. It seems as though I can do no wrong as a grandparent. The joy I feel is amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were introduced to the Church when I was young. I was fortunate to serve a mission. My call was to Australia. The life lessons of that experience have served me well. As I have continued to study the scriptures my love for the Lord has increased and my desire to keep his commandments has strengthened. Personal prayer and study is a vital part of who I am. It helps me keep focused on the Atonement of Jesus Christ and maintain a course that leads to eternal life with Him. I am married to the "girl" of my dreams. We have been married for close to 30 years. As our family grows and matures I am constantly impressed by the blessings we enjoy. The opportunity the Lord has provided to be an eternal family helps us keep an eternal perspective on every-day issues. I am grateful for the blessings I have enjoyed in my life. Most of the positive things in my life can be attributed to my membership in the Lord's Kingdom.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the local congregation with the responsibilities to help the men to better understand their roles as Sons of God, fathers, citizens of a community, and spouses worthy of the sacred love of their wife. In addition I am able to visit a few families on a regular basis. This function is for the purpose of strengthening families and individuals.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

In our family we talk about how we "go where we look." By studying the scriptures we maintain a focus on Christ and his Atonement for us. Studying the scriptures includes routine reading, pondering, associating what is read with our current condition in life, and truly attempting to understand the author's intent. It is my personal experience that we can feel the love the Lord has for us as we patiently and regularly study the scriptures provided. We learn from the experience of those who have gone before of the Lord's love for his children in days past and can more clearly see that His love does not waiver if we are willing to heed his directions. Persistent study of the scriptures also helps us be calm in times of stress and know that God knows us and loves us. A comforting spirit helps us know these eternal truths. Show more Show less
