Hi I'm Kandis

I grew up in Idaho. I'm a wife, mother of three and Graphic Designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of five, loved life, and was taught the Gospel. I love the outdoors, boating, skiing, dancing, and cheering. I had the opportunity to cheer in college where I made lifelong friends and experienced cities all over the United States by traveling with the teams. I met my husband in college and we were sealed for time and all eternity. I graduated in Graphic Design and have been able to work from home to support my family. I've lived in Idaho, Utah, Puerto Rico, Georgia, and now Arizona. I've loved getting to know different regions of the country but call 'the West' home. I'm a mother of three and love what I do. I love to travel, boat on the lake with my family, and enjoy nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith and was raised by two parents who truly taught me the Gospel, love, and following Christ. Once I left home for college, my personal testimony of the Gospel strengthened as I had to experience life on my own. I met my husband as a freshman in college and we were married in the Temple when I was only 19. When I look back now that seems so young but I knew what I wanted, knew I was with the right person, and wanted to spend forever with him. We've been married almost 9 years, have three darling kids, and can say that I am truly happy. This is why I'm a Mormon: it brings so much joy into my life and marriage. I know that the Gospel is true. I know that we have a Heavenly Father and Mother who love us more than we can comprehend. And because of that love, we were sent here to earth to learn and gain a body. I know that Jesus Christ is my older brother. I know that he came to this Earth, received a body, lived a perfect life, and atoned for my sins and the sins of this world. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. We just finished reading it as a family and each time my testimony is strengthened as the Holy Ghost bears witness to me of it's truth. I know that Christ came to visit the people in the Americas, found in 3rd Nephi, and taught them the Gospel. I know that after Christ died he was resurrected and I too will be resurrected. I know that the Gospel was taken off the earth after Christ's death because of the wickedness of the people. I know that Joseph Smith prayed to God in a grove of trees. I know that he saw our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and through him (Joseph Smith) the true Church was restored back to the earth. I know that the Gospel I live is Christ's gospel. I know that the Holy Ghost is real, that he bears witness and testifies of Christ and His gospel. Above all, I know these things are true because of the joy I feel when I fully live the Gospel. It brings true joy and happiness to my life and family's life.

How I live my faith

At this time I'm in charge of all the children in our Ward, meaning the children in our boundary of area. I love it! I love being with the children. Each Sunday I teach the children about the Gospel, about Christ, and about his teachings. I have two other members of my presidency and we work together to make sure that Primary (the program that the children are in) is run properly, that the children are learning the true Gospel, and that teachers are there to teach and love them. There's nothing greater than to see a child 'get it' and experience the Holy Ghost and the truthfulness of the Gospel. I love teaching them about the Plan of Salvation and that they have a Heavenly Father and Mother above. That we are not alone and that we can return to them again.
