Hi I'm Erica.

I grew up in a mostly Mormon community and have had my shortfalls. I'm currently serving a mission in the mid-west. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of six children, which is a typical size household in my area. I love my family and am very close with my family. Growing up in a mountainous region, there are lots of things I learned to love to do. Mostly camping, hiking, and rock climbing. Other hobbies include video gaming when I'm not working, reading, exercising, listening to music, road trips, theme parks, learning new trades...I'm pretty much all over the place. I'm not currently in school, but when I am, my major is Behavioral Sciences with a focus in Clinical Psychology and Pre-Med. Once day, I want to be a Psychiatrist for troubled youth. Right now, I'm preparing to serve as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and my Lord in the mid-west. I'm very excited and can't wait to get started.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel. I always have. I have had my time away from it and found that I am most happy when it's a part of my life and when I'm relying on the Lord to show me the way. I grew up in the Gospel, so deciding on the moment when I was truly converted is hard for me. It's been a gradual thing over many years. New pieces of light have been shed on me and in my life as I've lived the principles taught by the Savior and the people He and my Heavenly Father have called to lead us on this Earth. Recently was the beauty of His Holy Temple. There is such an amazing spirit there and so much love. I wish that everyone could walk the halls of the temple and know what I know. Jesus lives and loves us all. Heavenly Father gave up His Son so that we could return to Him and has placed the Gospel here with us to guide us back to Him. I KNOW that the Book of Mormon is true and holds the accounts of the people in the Americas who were converted and had the Gospel and their experiences and teachings. I KNOW Joseph Smith was the Prophet who was foreordained to restore His Gospel at this time on this Earth and to lead a great many back into the arms of our Savior and Heavenly Father. I KNOW Thomas S. Monson is a living Prophet of God and Christ leads us through him. I know this Gospel to be true as a whole and love it with all my heart. I hope and pray that I can share it with as many people as are willing to listen and even those who aren't.

How I live my faith

There are several ways that I live my faith. One of which is participating in church by attending all of the meetings held on Sunday and once a month teaching a class to the women in the congregation. Another is a position I had the opportunity to take where I serve those in the community by helping them complete tasks they may need help with, teaching them about what it is I believe, build stronger family relationships by helping them have a family night, etc. Mostly service in such a way that would bring people closer to Christ and Heavenly Father. I live my faith in lots of ways. But the most important way is by living the principles taught in the scriptures, by our Prophets, Apostles, and General Authorities, and following the example of Jesus Christ.
